That's right. I'm shamelessly promoting myself on the inter-world. Vote for me for Matt Holt's March Madness friendship edition. Yes, it's a total popularity contest and I don't want to lose! It's neck and neck, with me behind, so I need YOUR help.
Follow the link below and vote for Carly Saade. In return I will write you the best post EVER!

Snowed In
Hello internet world! We have been snowed in since Tuesday night at the Saade-Fisher household. This morning we woke up to the inches of ice (that had been sandwiched between inches of snow) finally melted. We were lucky enough not to lose power, it sounds like everyone around us did.
It was a nice excuse to be lazy, even if we got a little stir crazy at times. Brady managed some work from home in between our Harry Potter and How I Met Your Mother marathons, Uno games, and beer drinking. One day we managed to walk to the nearest redbox; we walked three miles in four inches of snow while it raining. Freezing rain that is.
I can't wait to tell how "In my day we had to walk in the snow and rain THREE MILES..." :) We made up for our workout by eating. All. The. Time. Something about the cold outside (certainly not boredom) made us hungry every second of the day.

As you can see, Kyzer loves the snow....

Oh, and if you're wondering why a little snow shuts down our city, this article is for you: Critics of Seattle in the snow

For Brady
I've been having a bit of a rough time lately. It's the reason I've been absent from the blogger world, and unfortunately it's made me push my love away too. So this is for you Brady. I love you. Thanks for hanging in there with me without complaint.
When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find
'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up
I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use the tools and gifts
We got yeah we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we didn't tend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn, how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I got, and what I'm not
And who I am
I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
I'm still looking up
I won't give up on us
God knows I'm tough, he knows
We got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
I won't give up on us

Getting Ready for Turkey Day
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I stayed up baking until midnight last night with B. He decided to go to happy hour with his work friends first, so it was an interesting first hour. I did get some pretty good pictures of him rolling out dough with his top off, but I think I'll keep those to myself... He also accused me of trying to kill our love fern.
Here are our finished projects:
Apple Cup Pies (in honor of Apple Cup this weekend) for a friend dessert/drinks/game night tonight. They look nice and gooey. For our family dinner tomorrow we made my specialty: Black Bottom Pumpkin Pie. Can't wait!
Notice how there are only two pumpkins? There used to be three until somebody ate it in the middle of the night.

BOO
I love Halloween. I love to dress up and run around like a kid, and to go out and see what costumes other people come up with. It's all around fun. The Saturday before Halloween I went out with a pretty large group, we rented a party bus which was a genius idea.
No one had to worry about driving, parking, or meeting up at different locations. The bus driver on the other hand....
Originally the theme was superheros, but there was only five of us that actually came through.
We had a blast driving around to different parts of Seattle, and running around like crazy people.
At the end of the night my two best friends had a sleepover with us and the dogs.
For Halloween night Brady and I just stayed in and did the old people thing. Ordered a pizza, watched a scary movie, and passed out candy. Well, he passed out candy. I lost my voice in the streets of Seattle and confined myself to the couch. Worth it.
How was your Halloween?

Dinsmore Halloween 2011
The Halloween party was a success! The rain stopped just before we got to the party, the band was awesome, and the kegs were flowing.
